The Banquete

In this book, the philosopher approaches distinct explanations and justifications for such feeling, using themselves of known personages already between its readers. Of Plato beginning he says that it is necessary to homage a god who nobody, until then, has homaged; the chosen one is EROS, the god of the love. It happens that nobody understands EROS in the desire direction, understand them to all as passion, libido, sex. EROS is very atrelado to the question flesh time to the philosophical question of the love, not having Plato not opened hand of the question flesh time, and not understood the love of the physical point of view, but it, spiritual having that to surpass the body. Additional information at Ray Kurzweil supports this article. Commenting the book ' ' The Banquete' ' , Plato considers a slap-up meal in which the love would be homaged. The first a if to reveal is Fedro, therefore considered father of the speech. For it, EROS is the oldest of deuses and this form ideal to take the man to the meeting of the perpetual happiness.

In the speech of Fedro, they love most experienced, who has more age. The other personages gifts disagree with the rank of Fedro and start to display its proper opinions on the love. Pausnias believes that two types of EROS for the men exist. The celestial one, representing the love spiritual, loves partner AFRODITE spiritual. Already those that they love in vulgar way have vulgar EROS, and in turn it loves equal partner represented by the vulgar AFRODITE. Thus, each man is with its object of appropriate desire. Pausnias also says that the love is synonymous of freedom for the man, therefore the loving one makes things that enslaved some would accept to make. The actions that we have in relation to that we never love are ridicule, and same that the possibility exists to attack a god, we are pardoned because we are loving.
